    Founder and Chief Executive Officer

    Yuval is an entrepreneur with over 15 years of high-tech experience. He was the CEO of Soligence, a VC-backed provider of optimization technology that was licensed to NASA. Yuval holds a M.Sc. from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the Weizmann Institute of Science. Yuval is the founder of BridgePartner, an enrichment program for children. He serves on the board of the Friends of the Palo Alto Children Theatre and coaches in AYSO and Little League.

  • Dafna Smith

    Vice President,
    Product Management

    Dafna is a passionate and detailed product manager. Prior to UpToUs, Dafna was a Product Manager at StreetOwl, a startup ready to disrupt the car insurance world. She was responsible to develop the consumer mobile aspect of the company's product. Prior to that, she consulted to WealthFront on various financial information projects. Dafna is a highly active parent at the Waldorf school of the Peninsula.

  • John Felleman


    John has spent two decades creating software products. Recently, he has consulted on product management and development. As VP of Technology at liveBooks, he gave photographers tools to create unique web sites. He managed award-winning products at Adobe and Intuit. John has an M.B.A. from Boston College and a B.S. from M.I.T. He holds multiple patents. Outside of work, he is active in the Castilleja School, where he promotes science and technology partnerships with the community.

W. Scott Lohmann


Scott is a SVP of Sales for Advance Restaurant Finance. He also serves as Co-President of his local education foundation, which annually grants over $2M to the local public school district. Previously, Scott was the President of SchoolPop, a fund-raising company. Before SchoolPop, he spent many years as SVP of Sales with Entertainment Publications, Inc., where he was in charge of a division that sold popular school and non-profit fund-raising products, such as The Entertainment Book and Sally Foster Giftwrap. Scott received a B.A. degree in Psychology and Sociology from McDaniel College. He lives in Menlo Park, with his wife and two young boys.

Bill Paseman

Angel Investor & Advisor

Bill is an angel investor and an internet expert. His active portfolio includes Blossom Diagnostics, Club Ed, ConnectedLeads, DogSter and more. Bill is the author of numerous books and papers on the subject of web 2.0 and social networks. Bill founded Calico commerce and led the company to a successful IPO in 1999. The company was later sold to PeopleSoft. Bill has a BS and MS in Engineering from Rice University and MS in Electronics and Computer Science from MIT.

Paul Sherer


Paul is a Board Member at Education Pioneers, a non profit with a mission to develop leaders in education. Paul is also the CEO of the Fast Forward Foundation, a family Foundation established to actively develop and fund innovative educational opportunities. Paul has been a Managing Partner at several highly successful investment firms, including Robertson Stephens and VantagePoint. Paul has led the funding and development of multiple Internet startups with a focus of enabling active collaboration within and between individuals and communities. Paul holds his BA from Duke University (1980), where he was a double Public Policy and Pre-Med major, and his MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
